Pubs, bbqs and festivals: what we love about the summer
As i write this its looking quite grim outisde, and the nights havent exactly warmed up this summer. While we hope and prey that the weather takes a turn for the better, heres some things we enjoy and love to do in summer.
- Beer gardens in pubs arent as cold. This one is a great one, we get to sit outside in the summer nights having a drink, enjoying the weather. More than anyone else smokers benefit from getting a beer garden in the summer, they dont have to excuse themselves and go for a cigarette. Can anything beat a cold beer whilst sitting outside with your friends in summer? I dont know about it, so let me know.
- Festivals are on. What do we enjoy about festivals? Going away with our friends for a long weekend, getting drunk and listening to bands. This usually means dealing with a few thousand other people who have gone to the festival. You get to eat alot of junk food, meet tons of new people and have fun. It does have its drawbacks, no shower for afew days and the toilets are always horrible -A small price to pay? Maybe? Youll always come back with a story or 12 about what happened on the weekend, and have a great time. Various festivals are on this year including Bloodstock, Download, Reading and Glastonbury just to name a few.
- Bbqs. The summer is a great excuse to see people you havent seen in along time by having a beer and a burger with them at a bbq. Whether your the host or just going to one, you can be guaranteed to have a good time with your friends.
